Wheeeeeeee.
Sep. 15th, 2007 11:52 amOkay. First (home) football game of the season:
We won, 13 to 12.
However. In the first quarter we sucked. Because the other team scored a touchdown within, oh, say, 4 minutes. We managed to catch up by the end of the second half right before half-time(which I missed, because we band members have to go warm up when the clock says that it's 6 minutes to half-time). The score then was 7 to 6.
Half-time: wheeeeee. We did well. ^_^ It wasn't perfect by any means, but it was still really good. Some little blurps (we clarinets need to work on our little triangle. >.>) but overall it was fine.
Now, 3rd quarter: I didn't pay much attention, cause the band got a break and I wandered off a bit. Nothing much happened here tho, so it doesn't really matter.
Fourth quarter however! They scored a touchdown, bringing the score from 7 to 6, to 7 to 12. What's really messed up tho, is that we played the school Fight Song right before they scored. >.> Apparently we played it under the guise that nobody had heard it all night yet...
So, there was 30 seconds left on the clock when our team finally scored again. Of course, >.>;; that was when everybody started to celebrate, even tho by that time there was still 21 seconds on the clock and the other team could have easily turned the game around. But they didn't, and we won.
Yay.
By the time the band had finally undressed out of the uniforms and we had cleaned up, it was ten o' clock. Boy, was I tired.
The next football game will be on the 28th of this month. But next week there's a parade on Saturday, so, altho I will be in chat later that night, I'm gonna be tiiired.
